(Atlantic, IA) — Iowa Gubernatorial candidate Brad Sherman came to Cass County on Thursday as part of his 99 county tour — the pastor from Williamsburg is a Republican candidate for Governor and was the first to announce his candidacy and he stopped by the KSOM/KS 95 studios. He says that touring the state has made him fall in love with Iowa all over again
Sherman differs from the current Governor Kim Reynolds in the issue of eminent domain — Reynolds vetoed a bill in the last year that would have possibly prevented Carbon Solutions from building their pipeline in the state
The Iowa primary is June 2, 2026 and Sherman is running against three other candidates currently –Congressman Randy Feenstra, State Representative Eddie Andrews, and former Director of Administrative Services Adam Steen. However, Sherman made his decision to run even before Reynolds made her decision not to run
Sherman is planning on going to Audubon County this afternoon for a meet and greet at Darrell’s Place in Hamlin then going to Carroll County for another meet and greet in Carroll and will finish the day in Jefferson for a meet and greet with all the Republican governor candidates in Greene County.
